Changing My Mind!

Oh, dear. Just when I thought I knew what I was doing with this year's Challenge. Didn't. Now I have had to change my mind on my niche market. Hoping this doesn't confuse me too much. It's good to be able to admit mistakes and to remain flexible!

The Ideal Situation

Never permit a dichotomy to rule your life, a dichotomy in which you hate what you do so you can have pleasure in your spare time. Look for a situation in which your work will give you as much happiness as your spare time.  ~ Pablo Picasso

Practical Value

It is of practical value to learn to like yourself. Since you must spend so much time with yourself you might as well get some satisfaction out of the relationship.  ~Norman Vincent Peale

Which Clock Are You Running?

We all run on two clocks. One is the outside clock which ticks away our decades and brings us ceaselessly to the dry season. The other is the inside clock, where you are your own timekeeper and determine your own chronology, your own internal weather and your own rate of living. Sometimes the inner clock runs itself out long before the outer one and you see a dead man going through the motions of living.

Action!

Perhaps the most valuable result of all education is the ability to make yourself do the thing you have to do, when it ought to be done, whether you like it or not. The great end of life is not knowledge but action.
